Dear WMS Families,
We are happy to report the new website for WMS Community Club communications and information hub is working well and already helping to connect parents to resources and giving sponsors the opportunity to make an impact for all our students! We appreciate everyone’s support and efforts to get involved - it really does take a village (aka WMS CC)!
With the holidays coming up, we are working on preparations for Spring Semester. We want to share what we’ve done so far and upcoming events for you to see how your support/donations impacts our students and teaching staff:
Westside Warrior Spiritwear: Working with local businesses to provide WMS merchandise for our students to show their school/district pride. Percentage of profits go back to supporting WMS CC. Fall sales done, Spring sales TBD. Please message us if your student would like another chance at getting spiritwear.
Parent/Teacher Conference Meals: Provide meals/snacks to the entire teachers and staff during fall [done] and spring parent-teacher conferences. Almost 100 staff members during each meal.
Sports/Honors Awards Banquets: Organize cookies and water for athletic and academic recognition banquets throughout the year.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week: A week full of food & fun for teachers & staff. Topped off with a staff night at Red Eye with the tab picked up by WMS CC.
Staff Gift Cards: Students place votes for their favorite teacher. Provide gift cards for Mrs. Eymann to present to winning staff members.
Vivi Support: Purchase a table and/or donate to the annual silent auction to benefit Westside Foundation initiatives.
Once again, thank you to all our parents and volunteers who have been working hard behind the scenes to support our kids! We would not be able to support our students and teachers as we have without the time, talent, and treasure from our amazing Westside families! If you have any questions or would like information on how to help support the Community Club, feel free to contact me at any time!
Lastly, congratulations to our Westside High School teams on recent State Final wins in both Class A Football and Esports!
Rollside!
Alan Wang, WMS Community Club President
